After Ötzi’s death, his body underwent a natural mummification process as it became dehydrated and preserved in the glacial ice, making him one of the best-preserved mummies in Europe. Upon the recovery of his body, archaeologists uncovered a wealth of artifacts that offered insight into Ötzi’s clothing and belongings.

Ötzi’s attire included a coat, belt, trousers, loincloth, shoes, and a bearskin cap, all crafted from leather, fur, and braided grass.
